Old Gala House is a historic tower house turned museum and conference centre located in the Old Town area of Galashiels. Originally built in 1457, this impressive U-shaped rubblestone edifice evolved over centuries of improvements by the Pringle and Scott families.
The house is architecturally significant, featuring 17th and 18th-century extensions and a notable ceiling painting rediscovered in 1952. Visitors can explore the museum exhibits, research at the Borders Family History Society archives, or enjoy the surrounding gardens and water features.
