Old Cumnock Parish Church

Old Cumnock Parish Church is a Category B listed Church of Scotland building commanding a prominent position in the square of this old market town. Designed by Brown & Wardrop, it was built in 1866 through the patronage of the Marquess of Bute.
The church features a rich history, including a Memorial Chapel from 1896 containing the Bute family seats. You can see a mosaic of Jesus walking on the water by James Harrigan and a historic bell in the vestibule. This bell was cast in Rotterdam in 1697 and served two previous church buildings.
Visitors can explore the interior during open hours in July and August. Inside, you can appreciate the 1966 organ and the architectural heritage of this significant site. Weekly services are also held on Sundays and Fridays.
