Glasgow Science Centre
13 minute walk from Exhibition Centre (Glasgow) station · Glasgow and West Central

Glasgow Science Centre is a premier visitor attraction located on the south bank of the River Clyde in Glasgow. Opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 2001, this purpose-built complex is one of Scotland’s most popular paid-for destinations. It consists of three distinct buildings: the Science Mall, the IMAX cinema, and the Glasgow Tower, which was designed to be the tallest freely-rotating tower in the world.
Visitors can explore three floors containing over 250 interactive exhibits designed to encourage informal learning. You can experience the planetarium’s digital projection system, visit the Science Show Theatre, or engage with BodyWorks, an exhibition focused on human health. The site also features outdoor science exhibits along the waterfront and the first IMAX cinema built in Scotland, offering both 2D and 3D films.
