Baxter Park
28 minute walk from Dundee station · Dundee, Aberdeen and North East · Free entry

Baxter Park is a 37-acre green space in east Dundee. Designed between 1862 and 1863, it holds national significance as the only complete park in Scotland designed by Sir Joseph Paxton.
The park features a Category A listed Italian Renaissance pavilion built of Bannockburn freestone. Donated to the city by Sir David Baxter and his sisters, the grounds are recognised as an important conservation area and have been awarded Green Flag status.
Visitors can enjoy a beautifully refurbished landscape that hosts annual bonfire firework displays. The central pavilion now houses a café and a registry office, while the north side features a marble statue of Sir David Baxter.
