Uile-bheist Distillery

Located on the banks of the River Ness, Uile-bheist is an independent, low-carbon craft brewery and distillery. As the first new distillery built in Inverness in 130 years, it blends traditional Highland techniques with modern innovation to produce artisan whisky and beer.
The site is notable for its commitment to sustainability, utilising energy from the river to power production. It honours Scottish folklore and myths through storytelling, using advanced copper stills and 100% locally grown barley to create its exceptional products.
Visitors can immerse themselves in the trade through expert-led tours or relax in the taproom, which features five craft beers and over 300 whiskies. The experience is completed by a restaurant specialising in sustainable Highland dining with picturesque river views.
