Stonehaven Open Air Pool
19 minute walk from Stonehaven station · Dundee, Aberdeen and North East · Free entry

Stonehaven Open Air Swimming Pool is an Olympic-sized, heated sea water lido located in Queen Elizabeth Park. Opened in 1934, this unique public pool is one of the northernmost lidos in the UK.
As the UK’s only art deco Olympic-sized sea water pool, it offers a distinct historic charm. Visitors enjoy clean sea water heated to 29°C (84°F) from late May to early September. The facility features a paddling pool, a cafe, and a shark-themed water slide for added fun.
Guests can enjoy a variety of activities, including weekly midnight swims and seasonal use of an inflatable swoopee. For those visiting in late autumn, the pool also offers cold water swimming sessions. Whether sliding into the deep end or relaxing by the water, it provides a classic open-air experience.
