St John's Episcopal Church

St John’s Episcopal Church is a historic house of worship located on Broad Street in Alloa. Designed by Sir Rowand Anderson and consecrated in 1869, the present building was financed by the Earl of Mar and Kellie. Today, it remains a central site for worship and church life.

As a Grade B Listed building, the church is noted for its intrinsic interest and elegance. Its interior features a 20th-century refurbishment including woodwork by Robert Lorimer and enamels by Phoebe Traquair. The bell tower is home to one of the few peals of eight bells in Scotland.
