Alloa Ludgate Church is an elaborate Early French Gothic building designed by Peddie & Kinnear. Replacing a simpler 18th-century structure, this historic church features a striking bell tower and Scots late Gothic transepts added in 1902.
Visitors can admire the pine and marble sanctuary, which houses an elaborate pulpit. The church is home to several notable stained glass windows by C.E. Kempe, including a grand main chancel window. A pipe organ from 1904, kept in fine condition, remains a key feature of the interior.
As you explore, you will see the results of generous contributions from the Thomson and Paton families. The site also includes an adjacent church hall designed in 1891, completing this significant architectural landmark.
