Provand's Lordship
5 minute walk from High Street (Glasgow) station · Glasgow and West Central

Provand's Lordship is a medieval historic house museum located in the Townhead area of Glasgow. Originally built in 1471 by Bishop Andrew Muirhead as part of St Nicholas’s Hospital, it stands as a significant piece of the city's history within sight of Glasgow Cathedral.
This remarkable building is one of the few surviving medieval structures in the area. Over the centuries, it has served as a hospital and even a sweet shop before being protected and restored. Visitors can now appreciate the house's 15th-century appearance, which is preserved through traditional roughcast render.
Inside the museum, you can explore a unique collection of seventeenth-century Scottish furniture donated by Sir William Burrell. The house offers a chance to step back in time and experience the historic atmosphere of a building that has been carefully restored for the public to enjoy.
