Prestonpans Battlefield is the site of the first major battle of the 1745 Jacobite Rising. On 21 September 1745, Bonnie Prince Charlie’s army defeated government troops in a swift and decisive fight. Visitors can walk across the fields, imagine the scenes of battle, and learn about the tactics used.
