Panmure Golf Club
8 minute walk from Barry Links station · Dundee, Aberdeen and North East

Panmure Golf Club is a historic private club located near the village of Barry in Angus, Scotland. Founded in 1845, it is one of the oldest golf clubs in the world and was one of the original contributors to the Amateur Championship trophy.
The club is famous as the place where Ben Hogan practiced before his 1953 Open Championship victory. Visitors can see "Hogan's bunker" on the sixth hole, which was created following his personal suggestion. The unique clubhouse is spiritually modeled on the Royal Calcutta Golf Club.
As one of Scotland’s most underplayed courses, visitors can enjoy a quiet experience on the Barry Links. The layout features classic links holes framed by an unusual backdrop of trees. While the course is not long, the legendary "Barry rough" flanking the fairways demands great accuracy from every tee.
