Musselburgh Links, The Old Golf Course
31 minute walk from Wallyford station · Edinburgh and South East

Musselburgh Links, known as The Old Golf Course, is a nine-hole, par-34 links set within the town’s racecourse, giving it a unique setting. With play recorded here as early as 1672, it's recognised as one of the oldest golf courses still in use anywhere in the world. The course even hosted six Open Championships between 1874 and 1889, cementing its place in golfing history. Compact and characterful, it features tight fairways and small greens. Visitors can hire traditional hickory clubs, making it possible to experience the game just as it was played centuries ago.
