Lecropt Kirk is a handsome Gothic revival parish church located on the outskirts of Bridge of Allan. Built between 1825 and 1827, this late Georgian building was designed by architects David Hamilton and William Stirling. It stands as a significant early example of its style in Scotland.
The church is rich in local history, featuring an interior influenced by the landed Stirling family of Keir. Visitors can explore the loft, vaults, and monuments created during the age of patronage. The building also houses important stained glass added by Stephen Adam in 1907.
Set in an elevated position, the church grounds offer a serene experience with clear views of the Carse of Lecropt, Stirling Castle, and the Wallace Monument. The site overlooks a fertile landscape bounded by the River Teith and Allan Water.
