Inverkeithing & Dalgety Bay Circular Walk
15 minute walk from Inverkeithing station · Stirling, Central and Fife · Free entry

This eight-mile (12.5 km) circular walk begins at Ballast Bank in Inverkeithing and takes you along both coastal paths and woodland trails. You’ll start with a surfaced, occasionally busy stretch to Dalgety Bay, passing St Bridget’s Kirk before turning inland through farmland and an industrial area. You then enter Fordell Woods, where some sections may be muddy—light walking boots are advised. The path leads via fields, a railway bridge, and roadside cycleway before climbing through Letham Woods. A ridge walk offers views of the Forth Railway Bridge before descending past a quarry back to your start point. Straightforward, varied, and invigorating.
