Carlingnose Point and St Margaret’s Marsh
21 minute walk from North Queensferry station · Stirling, Central and Fife · Free entry

This 6.2-mile (10 km) circular walk begins at Inverkeithing’s Ferry Toll park-and-ride. It follows the coastal path past industrial areas and a small sandy beach, then around Carlingnose Point toward North Queensferry with wide views of the Forth. The route continues under the Forth Road Bridge, where you can either take a shortcut or follow a rough, sometimes muddy path through woodland to St Margaret’s Hope and the marsh. The marsh, a designated nature reserve, offers shoreline tracks and historic remains. The walk ends by climbing Castland Hill on the Fife Pilgrim Way, before descending back into Inverkeithing.
