Fordell Woods Circular Walk
3 minute walk from Dalgety Bay station · Stirling, Central and Fife · Free entry

This 3.5-mile (5.6 km) circular walk starts at Dalgety Bay station and enters the woodland via a stone railway bridge. You begin along a trodden path beside fields, then follow the route of a former mineral railway into the estate. The path curves around Fordell Castle’s private grounds. Alternative rough trails also let you explore deeper into the woods. You can walk above the Fordell Burn or follow lower, often muddy, woodland paths. A stone bridge crosses the river before looping back through fields, ending where the walk began. Walking boots are advised for muddy conditions.
