Black Sands Beach
7 minute walk from Aberdour station · Stirling, Central and Fife · Free entry

Black Sands at Aberdour is a peaceful, sheltered beach on the west side of the village. With darker, slightly rocky sand and exposed rock formations at low tide, the bay offers scenic views across the Firth of Forth to Edinburgh and Inchcolm Island. At low tide it reveals rockpools, ideal for exploring sea life and collecting sea glass. The setting is tranquil and less crowded than Silver Sands.
