Ury Riverside Park

Ury Riverside Park is a 61-hectare community space in the heart of Inverurie. Formerly a barley field, this natural area is being developed from arable farmland on the River Ury flood plain to create a special environment where people and wildlife can thrive together.

The park features a diverse landscape including new native woodlands, wildflower meadows, and riparian habitats. It is home to various species such as otters, trout, and dragonflies. Bird enthusiasts may spot breeding skylarks, yellowhammers, and sedge warblers within these recovering ecosystems.

Visitors can enjoy the high-quality path network for jogging or walking while observing bees and butterflies in the meadows. The park offers a peaceful setting for watching wildlife, and there are opportunities to volunteer to help maintain the semi-natural wetlands and amenity grasslands.
