The Garioch Heritage Centre is a museum located in Inverurie. Owned by the Garioch Heritage Society, the centre was opened in 2017 to preserve and celebrate local history.
The museum is housed in the former Inverurie Locomotive Works, a site that closed in 1969. This historic setting was recognized for its "Best Creative re-use of an Industrial Building," offering visitors a chance to explore a significant piece of industrial architecture.
Visitors can enjoy a variety of displays, including temporary exhibitions like the Scottish Diaspora Tapestry. A notable future highlight is a rare cast-iron barge, believed to be the last remaining vessel from the Aberdeenshire Canal.
