Town Loch & Townhill Woods Circular Walk
30 minute walk from Dunfermline Queen Margaret station · Stirling, Central and Fife · Free entry

This 5 km (3 mile) circular walk starts at the Townhill Country Park water ski centre, where there's a café. You first follow surfaced paths around the tranquil Town Loch, enjoying lakeside views and the chance to see water sports or wildlife. Then, cross carefully to enter Townhill Woods via either a woodland track or surfaced road. The route ascends gently along the old mineral railway line, weaving through mixed woodland with muddy and surfaced sections. Interpretive signs and paths invite exploration of historic mining heritage. The trail then loops back toward the loch and returns to the café.
