Royal Troon Old Course

Royal Troon Old Course is a world-renowned links golf course located in Troon, South Ayrshire. Established in 1878, the club has grown from its original five holes to a sprawling 45-hole facility. The Old Course is a prestigious host of The Open Championship, having welcomed the event ten times for men, most recently in 2024, and the Women's British Open in 2020.
The course is famous for its challenging design and rich history. It features the "Postage Stamp," the shortest hole in Open Championship golf, and the difficult 11th hole, known as "The Railway." Visitors can admire the 1886 clubhouse, which is decorated with historical artifacts. The layout offers a dramatic journey alongside the Firth of Clyde, transitioning from open seaside holes into hillier dunes and thick vegetation.
