Pollok Country Park

Pollok Country Park is a 146-hectare green space located south west of Glasgow city centre. As the largest park within the city, it sits on the former Old Pollok Estate where the White Cart Water flows through the landscape.

The park is steeped in history, having served as the home of the Maxwell family for over 700 years. Its international significance is well-established, as it was named Britain's Best Park in 2007 and the Best Park in Europe in 2008.

Visitors can explore the Burrell Collection, a purpose-built home for an eclectic art and antique collection. The grounds offer unique sights, including an award-winning fold of Highland cattle and various sporting facilities such as mountain biking routes and cricket grounds. You can also view the historic Pollok House or enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the park's allotment gardens.

Due to contractors carrying out essential external work to Pollok House, Glasgow City Council advise that the paths and gardens connected to Pollok House will be closed until further notice.
