Paisly Thread Mill Museum

Founded in 2003, the Paisley Thread Mill Museum is a dedicated space that tells the historic story of the Clarks and Coats Thread Mills. Located in the Mile End Mill, it preserves the heritage of thread making in Paisley from its origins in 1722 through to the closure of the final mill in 1993.

Visitors can explore themed exhibits spread across 15 display cases and engage with interactive digital image and video archives. The museum also features a shop and hosts a regular drop-in stitching group alongside special workshops. It is open to guests and groups on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons all year round.
