Oban Distillery
5 minute walk from Oban station · Highlands and Argyll

Oban Distillery is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky distillery located in the west coast port of Oban. Established in 1794 by brothers John and Hugh Stevenson, it predates the town itself, which later grew around the distillery in the craggy harbour.
As one of Scotland's smallest distilleries, it operates with only two pot stills. It is famous for a unique "West Highland" flavour that balances dry, smoky island styles with lighter, sweeter Highland malts. The distillery is primarily known for its 14-year-old malt, part of the Classic Malts Selection.
Visitors can explore the historic site and a dedicated visitors' centre installed in 1989. You can discover a range of bottlings, including the "Little Bay" expression, the "Distiller's Edition" finished in sherry casks, and special releases matured in Caribbean rum casks.
