Music Hall
7 minute walk from Aberdeen station · Dundee, Aberdeen and North East

The Music Hall is a historic concert hall located on Union Street in the heart of Aberdeen. Originally constructed in 1822 as the city's Assembly Rooms, the venue was designed by the notable architect Archibald Simpson and officially opened as a concert hall in 1859.
This landmark building boasts a rich history, having hosted Aberdeen’s first cinema screening in 1896. It was also a site of significant suffragette activism in the early 1900s. Following an extensive £9 million renovation completed in 2018, the venue continues to serve as a premier cultural hub.
Visitors can enjoy performances by world-class ensembles like the Royal Scottish National Orchestra or attend the Aberdeen International Youth Festival. The hall has a legendary reputation for hosting diverse acts, ranging from classic rock icons like Led Zeppelin and David Bowie to modern artists.
