East Haven
37 minute walk from Carnoustie station · Dundee, Aberdeen and North East · Free entry

East Haven is a historic fishing village in Angus, Scotland, set along a rugged coastline between Carnoustie and Arbroath. First recorded in 1214, the village has been known by many names over the centuries, including "East Heaven" and "Mauleshaven."
This site is significant for its long maritime history once centered on a natural harbor. It was a favorite spot for the royal family during the 1930s, and today, visitors can admire houses built just feet from the water and sea defences crafted from the stone of the former Panmure Estate Mansion.
Visitors can enjoy a rocky sweep of sand typical of Scotland’s coast. The beach is a popular destination for families during the summer months, offering a picturesque setting to experience the natural beauty of the shoreline.
