Mount Hill and the Hopetoun Monument, Cupar

Thanks to the slender cylindrical tower of the Hopetoun Monument, Mount Hill is a real landmark in the Howe of Fife. There's a public path to the summit - but one thing prevents it becoming a popular walk, and that's a lack of parking. We describe the route here with an approach along quiet country roads from Cupar which has proper parking; if you have a bike for the approach, that would be ideal. If you wish to shorten the route, it's possible for one car to park very carefully on the grass verge near a tree mentioned in the text.
