The Wildcat Centre
12 minute walk from Newtonmore station · Highlands and Argyll · Free entry

Located on Main Street, the Wildcat Centre serves as the welcoming hub for the Newtonmore Community Woodland & Development Trust. This friendly base provides visitors with expert advice on local attractions and the spectacular Highland countryside surrounding the village.
The centre is famous for managing the Wildcat Experience, a unique treasure hunt featuring 132 life-size painted model wildcats hidden in gardens, on roofs, and up trees. It also promotes the Wildcat Trail, a 10k orbital path offering magnificent views of the Cairngorm and Monadhliath mountain ranges.
Visitors can stop by to purchase Experience Packs or trail brochures to begin their adventure. Explore moorlands and river gorges, or enjoy hours of family fun hunting for models to earn certificates and prizes. You can even find specialist books on local wildflowers to enhance your journey through the native woodlands.
