Scottish Submarine Centre
4 minute walk from Helensburgh Central station · Highlands and Argyll

The Scottish Submarine Centre is an award-winning attraction in Helensburgh that functions as a registered charity. It serves as an educational hub, providing visitors with detailed information about how submarines work and the exploits of the people involved in the submarine service.
This site is home to the real X-Craft submarine, X51 HMS Stickleback, which serves as the centrepiece of the exhibit. The centre highlights the history of pioneers and innovators, tracing technology from the time of Alexander the Great through the daring roles played by brave submariners.
Visitors can enjoy an immersive 360-degree projection and audio experience, including the new show "X-CRAFT - DIVE DEEP." These presentations use laser technology to tell stories directly on the screens and the submarine itself. The venue also hosts live music, performances, and special events within its atmospheric, digitally decorated main hall.
