Pitlochry Festival Theatre

The Pitlochry Festival Theatre is a large performing arts venue. Conceived by John Stewart and opened in 1951, this significant cultural landmark is currently led by Artistic Director Alan Cumming.
The theatre has a unique history, beginning as a tent-style structure before moving to its current permanent building in 1981. It is of great cultural importance to Perthshire, historically famous for a summer repertory season that allowed visitors to see several different plays within just a few days.
Today, visitors can enjoy performances in the main theatre or a new 175-seat studio space. The site also features enhanced outdoor areas, including a bandstand and a refurbished amphitheatre. Guests can experience a variety of productions, ranging from famous musicals to classic plays.
