Perth Museum
13 minute walk from Perth station · Stirling, Central and Fife · Free entry

Located in the former Perth City Hall building, this heritage and arts attraction opened in 2024 to showcase the city's vast collections and recognise Perth’s historic status as a former capital of the Kingdom of Scotland.
The museum is the permanent home of the Stone of Scone, the United Kingdom's ancient coronation stone. It is housed in a beautifully converted building that features a design by Mecanoo and was recently shortlisted for the Art Fund Museum of the Year Award 2025.
Visitors can explore the centrepiece Stone of Destiny alongside remarkable artifacts like the mummified remains of Ta-Kr-Hb and the 3,000-year-old Carpow Logboat. Other highlights include a unique New Zealand kākāpō feather cloak, a 17th-century dancing dress, and a cast of a record-breaking Tay salmon.
