Kirkcaldy Galleries
1 minute walk from Kirkcaldy station · Stirling, Central and Fife · Free entry

Kirkcaldy Galleries is the main museum, library, and exhibition space in Kirkcaldy, Fife. Opened in 1925 on the former site of Balsusney House, the building underwent a major £2.5m refurbishment in 2012 to create a vibrant, modern cultural hub.
The venue is home to a world-class art collection, featuring the largest selection of works by William McTaggart and Samuel Peploe outside of the National Galleries of Scotland. It also holds significant pieces by the Glasgow Boys and has hosted prestigious displays ranging from the Great Tapestry of Scotland to photography by Diane Arbus.
Visitors can explore award-winning exhibitions detailing the town’s industrial heritage or browse the library and family history rooms. You can enjoy a relaxing break at the on-site cafe, which displays beautiful local Wemyss Ware pottery, or visit the gift shop and children's library.
