Falkirk Distillery

Falkirk Distillery is a family-owned Scotch whisky producer located near the historic Antonine Wall. Founded by George Stewart, this lowland facility was the first to recommence production in the area since 1993. It officially became fully operational in 2020 following a £9 million construction project.

The site is architecturally striking, featuring two pagoda roofs and a traditional dunnage style warehouse. It is notable for using renovated copper stills and a mash tun sourced from the mothballed Caperdonich distillery. The facility also focuses on sustainability by using waste to grow microalgae for animal feed.

Visitors can explore the visitor centre, which is designed to accommodate 80,000 guests annually. You can learn about the production of their unpeated lowland style whisky, which produces 200,000 litres of spirit each year. It is a unique opportunity to see eight washbacks in action and discover a distillery that recently released its first public single malt bottles.
