Denlethen is a scenic community woodland situated on the edge of Laurencekirk. This natural space offers a peaceful setting for outdoor exploration, featuring a main forest track that forms a circuit through the landscape.
The wood is home to interesting local heritage and natural features. Visitors can discover an old curling pond and enjoy a dedicated picnic area on the north-east edge of the forest. Clearings between the trees provide beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.
The area is excellent for spotting resident wildlife, such as roe deer and damselflies. While there are no waymarked trails, visitors can explore the main track or follow smaller paths to create their own unique routes through the trees.
