Beacon Arts Centre

The Beacon Arts Centre is a performing arts and community venue located at Custom House Quay on the waterfront in Greenock. Owned and operated by the Greenock Arts Guild, a charitable organisation founded in 1946, the centre serves as a focal point for the arts in the Inverclyde area of Scotland.

The venue is notable for its contemporary design, which features a striking fly tower that is lit at night to form a beacon. Its location is of historical significance, situated near a 19th-century ornamental clock tower originally used to guide ships. The building's Gallery Suite and Cafe & Bar feature full-height glazed walls, providing visitors with views over the River Clyde and the Firth of Clyde toward the hills of Dunbartonshire and Argyll.

Visitors can enjoy a diverse range of experiences, from professional touring shows by national companies like Scottish Opera to community musicals and amateur theatre. The facility houses a 500-seat Main Auditorium, a flexible Studio theatre, and a Gallery Suite for exhibitions. Additionally, the centre offers public participation through various classes and workshops in music, art, and drama.
